I have been involved with the hobby industry for about 20 years. It all started with a neighbor across the street from us who had the first edition RC10 gold chassis car. My brothers and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. A few years later in 1993, my younger brother convinced our father to get him a RC car
for his birthday. I think it was a Tamiya or Traxxas 2wd Truck. So I had to get one too, I purchased a RC10T a few months later. We built a track in our backyard with our dad’s left over sprinklers’ pipes. In 1994, we learned about a few local tracks called So Cal Raceway & The
Ranch Pit Shop, and that was where my racing got started. I got a part time job at Ultimate Hobbies and worked there for 3 years, and started racing touring cars for them. Parking lot racing was already taking off. In 1998 I met Travis and Conrad Amezcua. He raced 1/10 electric touring car for a short time and was on the “Road Runner Express” team along with Mike Swauger, David Spashett, Robbie Collins, Tim Long, Aldo Ruiz and many others. I got back into off-road in 1999 and raced a few of the Reedy races at MnM Hobbies with Travis, before taking a break for about 5 years. I started working fulltime at Penske and ironically, I worked directly with Dana Smeltzer, owner of Revelation Raceway for a few years before being promoted. During this time away I kept in contact with the local hobby. My time was very limited for racing but in 2006, I returned and started racing with Moto Ishibashi and reconnected with many of the people who still raced. It’s because of the passion for racing and the skills to help others with their racing that led to me wanting to be somehow involved in the RC Industry on the business side, and envision myself owning a hobby store. Our goal at HandleITrc.com is to give you a great and valuable experience, and asking yourself why go elsewhere!

Many of you will know me by name or may have met me in person at one point in time. For those that don't, here's a little history of myself. I started this hobby as a young boy back in 1993. It all started out as just a hobby. My father would take me racing 2-3 times a week to Covina Raceway and later to the Ranch Pit Shop. From there we moved onto racing at So Cal Raceway. This was where all the pro's raced. Brian Kinwald, Mark Pavids, Greg Hodapp, Barry Baker just to name a few. I looked up to these guys and said I wanted to be one of them. The owner of So Cal Raceway, Jim, found out that I was getting
help from Twister motors back then and moved me from novice to the expert class. I remember racing against all these pro guys getting lapped 3-4 times a race. That went on for about a year or so. But that was the best thing that could have ever happened. The more that I raced with the best the better I got. Now after 18 years in this hobby I became one of them. I've traveled the world racing these cars and won nationals titles in the process in both electric, and nitro classes. In addition, I have been a world’s finalist many times and won many other notable races around the country. I've also worked for different companies along the way. All of this has taught me so much about life and my passion for this industry. Not to mention the industry Icons I have learned from; Gil Losi Jr, Pops Losi, Mike Reedy, Cliff Lett and Gene Husting to name a few. With the experience I have now as a pro racer, my next steps are to provide the best customer experience through HandleITrc.com. It has always been a dream of mine to be a part of a hobby shop or race track. Now it's my time to teach what I know, from the hobbyist to that next young person who dreams to become the next pro racer. With that said, we at handleITrc.com are here to provide you the best product and services at a great price. So I look forward to working with each and every one of you.
